It's been awhile since we posted a new interview and the following interview with Princess Katana, www.deeperforkatana.com, was actually conducted and promised several months ago. Apologies for that, but please do enjoy.

Hypnosis Addiction: Having the pleasure to listen to Your hypnosis sessions, I have found each to have their own powerful effect and unique qualities. As a whole, Your work takes a refreshing approach, in fact i found myself thinking the experience of listening to Your sessions as being a spiritual awakening of my mind and senses.

Afterwards while reading Your journal, You talk about the "spirituality" of D/s and the "emotional" aspects for femdom hypnosis. Those aspects come through quite clearly in Your hypnosis. You refer to Your hypnosis as HypnoZentric. Please share with me if You would, what does HypnoZentric mean to You?

Princess Katana: It's interesting that you mention an awakening... because, that is exactly what zen is... and while a lot of people associate hypnosis with sleep... I think of the hypnotic process as an awakening... awakening the part of you that usually is only awake when you are asleep... the part of you where your deepest desires are kept... and I like awakening that part of you... awakening, and being part of your dreams...

HA: "Softening you mind", is a phase You have spoken on multiple occasions. It is a phrase I personally find to be intensely erotic. "Progressive relaxation" is a term frequently used in hypnosis, I would however describe Your sessions as "progressive influence", it is not only about falling deeper into trance. It is also about Your suggestions and Your power growing stronger as the session continues, while the mind seems to become softer.

Your hypnotic style is both unique and quite effective. I cannot help but be curious, is this something that comes natural for You or are there other influences to Your hypnosis?

PK: I think I've always been a natural Domina. I have this uncanny, almost supernatural gift for getting into people's minds, which has always given me an advantage over others... and I love having, and exercising this power. I especially love making men weak... and I suppose... my sheer pleasure of it makes me all the more irresistible.

HA: In Your recording "Nothing Else Matters", You seem to create this feeling of total immersion, The feeling for me was very connected and personal, something that I enjoy quite a bit in a hypnosis session. Of all Your sessions that I have experienced there is what I would describe as an honest energy, a presentation coming from Your soul. When You are recording a session, do You feel or is it possible for You at that point to feel a connection which those who will soon be listening to the session?

PK: I absolutely do feel a connection, and ALWAYS end up slipping into Top Space when recording a session. I can't help but imagine how I am affecting my subject... and just thinking about the way your eyes glass over as you turn your mind over so completely into my hands... it makes me feel like I am the center of the universe, and sends me into a Dominant Trance... and the deeper I know I am taking you into submission, the more exhilarated I am... and if you listen closely, you can probably detect the changes in my voice... feel me growing more and more powerful as you grow weaker for me.

HA: Another of Your recordings, "Feels Good" has received several well deserved raving comments on inraptured.com I like the way that You build the desire to give up more and more control, it effectively amplifies the experience, and makes if very pleasurable. How does it make You feeling knowing the type of control and effect You have over someone being entranced by You?

PK: The first word that comes to mind here is, "Careful." I mean... I like having this level of control... I like it a LOT! So much so that I have to be careful. My sessions... individually. .. could be considered pretty innocent... but together, they take you on a progressive journey of deepening submission, and could be considered a sort of "hypnotic edge play." I want to see just how close I can take you to the edge, without pushing you over... and in order to do this, I know I have to handle you gently... trancing you with care.

HA: Another comment that I have read frequently from those who have experienced Your hypnosis is that the sessions seem to feel as though they are much longer than what the clock might say. My own experience has been the trance feeling lingers for quite awhile after the session has finished. I have a feeling that this might be a secret, but I still have to ask, is there a magic potion in Your hypnosis?

PK: Yes.

HA: If You would please tell me what led You to hypnosis and to use it so effectively to soften minds. What is it about hypnosis that You Yourself find fascinating?

PK: And here is where the magic comes into play... I grew up in a Ku Kahuna family... and I can't tell you exactly what this means, other than to say that we are the keepers of a secret, dark art of ancient Hawaii, which includes what some would call black magic, mind control techniques, and hypnosis... and my path as a Ku Kahuna naturally led me to the FemDom lifestyle... then later, once I became more knowledgeable and respectful of its power, FemDom Hypnosis. And I could give you the typical answer... that I love having you under my control... about how much I love fucking with your mind... and this would all be true... but what I love the most, is how "intimate" hypnosis can be... and I think that my making the experience so "intimate" is what makes me so effective.

HA: I have read in Your journal that You carry a notepad with You to write hypnosis scripts. What kind of things inspire Your creativity for Your hypnosis work?

PK: Wow. I find inspiration in a lot of things... music... poetry... philosophy.. . art... and even spiritual discourses. I suppose... I am inspired by the nature of desire... and the thing that inspires me the most is the response I get from my subjects... your submission and longing make me feel... so drunk with power and desire... intoxicated. .. and intoxicating. I guess this is what some people would define as "power exchange."

HA: What are Your expectations from those who experience femdom hypnosis from You? If someone feels the desire, what can one do to make You happy?

PK: I expect you to worship the ground I walk on, but I really don't ask much of my subjects. Sincerity is a must... and of course, gifts and tributes make me feel appreciated. I suppose, since I am a capricious creature, my presence demands that you are patient and accommodating. .. always... especially since my attention isn't easy to get or maintain. Probably the most important thing my subjects can do is keep me inspired... and I think my answer to your previous question should give them a clue as to how.

HA: It did not surprise me, from Your web site, that You have done some modeling in the past, You are a very beautiful woman. In addition to Your recorded hypnosis, do You do any videos or are You available for phones sessions? Or any thing else for those who just cannot seem to get enough?

PK: I actually hate talking on the phone... even with my friends. If you're persistent, and I'm in a particularly wicked mood, I might turn my NiteFlirt ignore line on let you TRY to have a conversation with me. As far as videos are concerned... I started posting a few casual clips to youtube and really enjoyed doing those. I'm in the middle of setting up a cam studio in my new home so I can do more, with better equipment and such. I have so many ideas to keep you in thrall... which is my ultimate goal.

HA: Thank You for Your time and for agreeing to this interview Princess Katana. I do very much consider it to have been an honor. Are there any final words or comments You would like to add?

PK: This interview has been a pleasure... I appreciate how much thought you put into your questions... and I just want to thank you, and everyone else, for welcoming me so warmly into the community.
